I was looking through some old files and found last years Dessert Theatre Video.  It has some great memories.  The Santa Claus Parade, Josh in a Bikini.  Well maybe not. 

We have a ton of fun at our church.  I love being a part of what God is doing there.

Happy Day's reunion's will never be the same.

I wonder if this isn't the man you wanted to be also. He was cool had great fashion sense, a lot of fantastic cars that he would give to spoiled boys.

Spiritual Warfare and Sin: Seek God's Remedy

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not
sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus
Christ the righteous.
--1 John 2:1

I wish it were possible to anoint the head of every Christian
preacher so that he would never sin again while the world stands.
Perhaps some would consider that a happy way to deal with the
subject. But, in fact, if any person can be removed from the
possibility of sin, he or she can only be some kind of a robot run
by pulleys, wheels and push-buttons. A person morally incapable of
doing evil would be, by the same token, morally incapable of doing
good. A free human will is necessary to the concept of morality. I
repeat: If our wills are not free to do evil, neither are they free
to do good....

But what was the sinning priest to do? Should he give up to
discouragement? Should he resign himself to failure? No! There was
a remedy. And what about ministers and all of God's servants today?
In a time of temptation and failure, should they simply quit? Should
they write a letter of resignation and walk out, saying, " I am not
an Augustine or a Wesley; therefore, I give up"? No, if they are
aware of what the Word of God says, they will seek God's remedy.

Kids these days

I have to confess i don't understand kids these days. The just seem to have different values. Take little Emily. I'm starting to think little Emily doesn't like what i like. It all started last Easter Sunday. I was preaching a dazzling sermon on Christ and kept hearing this sound from the congregation. At first i wrote it off as another member weeping under the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Then i realize that the sound... well it wasn't sobbing it was snoring. That's right little Emily slept all the way through Easter sunday.

Well this past Saturday was the Orangeville Santa Claus Parade. I get excited about the Santa Claus Parade because it gives our church a chance to be involved in the community and to share a little bit of the Love of God with people. That and it's a stage... and I like to make the most of a stage. This year we had a homely looking igloo, some inukshuks, a manger and the Goudrealt boys on the congas providing our very own inuit drum circle. We even had a seal hunt... kindof. The kids loved it... at least i thought. My daughter abi was sitting with Emily on the dog sled... I wonder if Emily is trying to tell me something.

I'd like to be able to tell you that this was me... but it wasn't. Josh and i were having a break during our day @ sonlife in Erin, and these guys had made themselves a little slice of winter. Hat's off guys. That's commitment and some serious air considering the conditions.

but we decided that we couldn't hold back any longer.

normally Luana has the tree up nov 1st.

sickness prevented it but it sure is nice to get this show on the road.
